I feel like watching my dating life has become a bit of a national pastime, and I’m just not comfortable providing that kind of entertainment anymore. I don’t like seeing slide shows of guys I’ve apparently dated. I don’t like giving comedians the opportunity to make jokes about me at awards shows. I don’t like it when headlines read ‘Careful, Bro, She’ll Write a Song About You,’ because it trivializes my work. And most of all, I don’t like how all these factors add up to build the pressure so high in a new relationship that it gets snuffed out before it even has a chance to start. And so, I just don’t date.

THIS IS FUCKED UP. taylorswift should be able to date whoever she wants without the stupid tabloids making a big deal about it. The fact that Taylor has to go in an interview and SAY that she has STOPPED DATING because of all the shit she had to put up with is ridiculous. This is what’s wrong with the world. Take a look at many male artists—there are a LOT of songs about girls on those albums. One Direction, for example: most of Midnight Memories was about a girl. Why Don’t We Go There and Alive are LITERALLY about sex. Half a Heart: A breakup. Story of My Life: okay no one actually knows but like there’s “she” in the lyrics which is certainly enough for Taylor to get prosecuted. Strong, Through the Dark, pretty much all of their songs. Yes, you could make the argument like “don’t forget where you belong” (brilliant song) and a couple others, but when it comes right down to it, why is Harry not having any of the Haylor crap while Taylor (still) has to deal with it. Legit, Taylor is an amazing songwriter, singer, and everything in between. She’s so sweet and genuinely nice to her fans so WHY the FUCK does she have to endure this bullshit. Taylor, you deserve more.

The sun isn’t bright just because I say it is. It just is. It was bright before I even knew the word for bright. I didn’t decide what it is, I acknowledged what it is.

You aren’t worth something just because I say you are. You just are. You were worth something before I even said anything. I didn’t decide that you are, I acknowledged that you are.

This is what I mean when I say “You are worth it.”

This is great.

I have no words.
